the weak will inherit the earth

the lines we cross these days prove thinner than our patience, exposing short tempers made shorter only by the decreasing length of the span of our attention. along with the absence of optimism and the elusive honesty, we see the inevitable change a burden on best laid plans, and become blinded by our own design to a future brighter than the lights of the big city, from which all our ambition stems.

morals taught as law, and our addiction to excess, we love our neighbor, but hate ourselves when we have nothing left. ridiculed by those who thrive on individuality, we lose interest in doing anything for ourselves, then find comfort in the fact that the strong will survive, but the weak will inherit the earth.

believe.
